i read somewhere that there was one where you could upload an image and it would search google. but, i haven't seen it. i'm using it to look up people. not stolen images. the only thing i could think of to do with google is to type in the name of an image and hope i get some results.
tineye works. but, it doesn't seem to have a large enough database of images for it to search. it would be cool if i could use google.

i found this in the blog pages of tineye. the image one doesn't have any images. but you might be able to use the one that finds images based on color for textures or something.

i knew this would happen but it's still impressive, even if it doesnt recognize patterns, shapes, faces etc...
i can begin to figure out how it works if the two pictures are different versions of the same image, but it also gives results that are a subset of the requested image (a cropped version)...
that's far less trivial to me.

I'm currently working on algorithms similar to the one that should be using this... but this is really impressive. Thanks for the link!
np. my friend gave me this link when because he had to use it for school so he didn't use copyrighted images. but, i'm just looking for something better. because, i'm trying to use it to search for people. it is rather impressive. but, it's the only one i can find on the internet. which sucks.

i just saw helloworld talk about this in the random image thread. so, i thought i would come back here and update this. this doesn't really relate to tineye. but, it does have to do with what i was originally looking for and http://wink.com/ solved my problem. so, wink.com is a great site for finding people. that is all. k thx bye.
a site like that merged with tineye would be awesome for finding people.
