Outline filled all the grooves and ticked all the boxes and we had the perfect summer weather as well. Thanks again guys, will be back next year (with a better compo entry I hope!)

One other thing, was it mum or dad's taxi that picked you up Maali ;-)

next year I seriously must attend. Looks like I missed out on a lot of fun.
Is there a video of the Starstruck demo running on the Falcon?
I left right before that happened :(

A quick announcement: it has come to our attention that not only the disqualified entry by Felice was ripped, but also the entry that was correctly displayed and part of the Animation competition, "800". We would like to underline that ripping is considered lame for a reason, and we would like to encourage Felice to either submit his own work or nothing at all, in the future.

Felice, wtf man
The "800" was the official recording of the event, but I was involved with the creation and testing of the show itself as part of the team involved with producing it. No ripping took place as we were allowed to keep copies of the official recording, rather than have people making their own home recordings.

kinda freaky when you think of the winning PC demo at the party ;)

You should have seen them when they were all in a single line along the floor walking to that tree. It was about 3 meters long...

according to that page, the whole world is allowed to keep copies of this recording, but the copyright is held by the university of cambridge. another word for pretending to own the copyright over someone else's stuff is ripping. ofcourse it is possible that the university of cambridge gave you permission to re-release this video on the "dildo fatwa" label, if you insist i'll be happy to contact them to confirm that is the case. if you do not insist on us contacting the university, we can only assume you indeed do not have any valid copyright claim over this work, and we will delete it from our results and download areas asap, so that the university's copyright is no longer violated.

another note, the video was first released to the public on the 4th of february 2009. so this entry was released to the public well before outline 2009 took place- another valid reason for disqualification.

concerning the oak processionaries, i think we'll have to notify the owner of the partyplace, so they can be destructed before anyone gets seriously ill.

cih: my mum's.. my dad's Bentley is off for repair with some airco issue.
havoc: yeah, we'd better. Honkey already managed to step on a bunch of them barefoot -they were hard to see on the paved areas, even in groups.

@Havoc and Skrebbel

As of now, please consider both of my entries withdrawn and the votes nulled. The "800" entry was originally submitted in good faith and was not blatantly ripped - however, I take the comments from both of you to hand and will apologise for the situation that developed.

Let's draw a line under this.

Cheers,

Rich

havoc: i have more photos of the caterpillars, if you need. i had absolutely no idea that they were that dangerous. someone at the partyplace even wanted to touch them because they looked so fluffy -good that he didn't...

@Skrebbel: Fuck, somehow I got your USB stick with knoppix with me home. You probably have mine with GBA dev tools and random music (including the fucking awesome itallodisco mix which I really miss now).

By any chance, is that a sd card + reader (that does xd as well as sd + other formats?) If so, it's mine... if not, hey! I'm missing one of my sd card readers, the one that can do XD as well. As several folks borrowed it (and returned it) I dunno how it might be awol, but, well, it is.

I could put it back to the place it belongs at whatever party I see whomever has it visits next (:
dipswitch: thnx for the offer, please save those photos for the moment, i'll get back to you about this

@Truck: A litle embarassing, but I found out that I actually brought the right stick back home. The thing is, I apparently made a second partition on it once and forgot about it. It popped up by default on my Ubuntu installation, but it is not visible on Linux. Me and skrebbel has the same USB sticks from a job fair at my university, so I thought it was his. But I just messed up :P
