Ossa's Assembly Tutorial

category: general [glöplog]

A year or two ago. I compiled Ossa's Assembly Tutorial for him into help, html help and pdf format. Well, I was looking at them today and noticed his site was gone and couldn't find it anywhere. So, I figured. Just in case I'm the only one with this. Maybe I should release it. So, here it is.

Thx Hexen, nice work. I like the CHM the most. Did you made some goodies with the tutorial? Otherwise I read a few and I liked it, I may try ASM again (failed many time :D)
I founded this link http://ossa.the-wot.co.uk/tutorial_asm1.htm
actually i didn't really add anything other than just convert it for him and format the text so it didn't look all messed up in that format. other than that it's probably the way it looked on the site.

well sweet. thanks for the link buckethead.

ok, I meant did you managed to code some stuff with the tuto
i've made some stuff in masm. but, idk who to thank for that. because, i was spending alot of the time on the win32asm messageboard and that's probably where i heard about this. but, it did help with some stuff. because, i think he explains it well.

"some stuff"

as in, nothing really useful or entertaining? must be a GREAT tutorial then...

it's a good tutorial. i think it helped me with the displacement addressing. i've just read alot of assembly tutorials and the hardest thing was always working with strings for me and the tutorials i've read don't seem to go over that.

well only useful and entertaining to myself. i used to make america online programs for fun. these type of tutorials probably made it easier to rewrite stuff that i would make in vb into an masm program.
