is there any scenemusic radio without 80% of it being old sids, mods with detuned 8bit samples and famous demotunes from the eighties? i.e. scenemusic radio with only relatively new stuff?

It's funny to see the energy which is spent to decide which webradio will be your new Nectarine...
Hell, don't you believe that this HD rescue company won't resurrect the whole stuff?

Indeed, there is no excuse for such a weird backup policy.
But actual Nectarine was a kind of a beta version. Yes was constantly working on achieving the interface and functionnalities. It's just too bad he post poned the security aspect...

Please, don't burry us so fast... :)

Well, competition is always good. I hope for the return of Nectarine, but maybe someone can create an even better scene radio? And in the end it's always good to have an alternative if one of the radios is down.

i just hope that yes will work together with arab's team.
According to http://nectarine.chipin.com/nectarine-support, so far $2382 were donated to Yes to have Nectarine back online.
Surely it should be more than enough to have a demoscene radio website back up whereas there already was a backup from august available (not to mention that Scamp proposed a free hosting).

It would be nice to have another project made by different people though. Competition can't hurt and as many people pointed it out, the website became way too messed up recently (messy layout, not compatible with a few browsers and seriously slow)

this revival project : http://www.scenemusic.pl/demovibes/ is simple and fast (ok, too simple for now, not even a oneliner ;) )
Congrats for this very fast coding !!!

I hope Yes will manage to restore his HD so it can be implemented with it.

For a long time Yes speaks about open source and collaborative system. But the recent history showed that he seems having decided to hold the project mostly on his own. Admins number had been strongly reduced and remaining admins' rights strongly limited.

I don't know what future will be made of and I strongly encourage any demoscene webradio project. There can't be any competition in that domain, only plurality, which is good. But dealing with Nectarine itself, I doubt that Yes would share his creation and leadership that easily.

@willbe: Get a clue before suggesting that Ojuice had been purposely brutally stopped!
