Quick C64 Turbo Assembler help

Hey.
I just got Turbo Assembler. I Wonder how the syntax for writing assembler here works... The experience io have from coding on the c64 is using the FC3 machine code monitor. I have been looking around on the web for a good tutorial or similar on how Turbo Assembler works (i found the manual but it don't really say anything useful).
I just get illegal pseudo-op error when ever i enter anything.
Could any one just give me a short example of how the syntax in turbo assembler looks.
