His point seems to be "I saw people being annoying, so I figured it would be OK for me to be twice as annoying as them. How was I supposed to know it would annoy people?"

I really don't get why he should be banned for behaving exactly like the forum participants were supposed to be behaving, according to the disclaimer. The disclaimer also said, "try not to take things too seriously", which I think a choice few have missed.
That said, there has always been room for serious discussion in these forums, IME, and most oftenly the only threads that got hijacked by trolls were the ones which deserved to be.

pouet is a privilege (although sometimes a dubious one), not a right. why should someone keep that privilege if they've done nothing to earn it and everything to deserve to lose it?

Well, he did release some small stuff and made some serious comments on prods. But I'm probably just defending him because he's Swedish.
