Gloom's picture is also missing some places (e. Israel and Russia) that would be more red. Those places are pretty rare though.

Yes the iraqis, have never been happier. 100.000 iraqis killed. Sadamm killed 300.000 ? I guess within a year that record is broken.

Well. I think it's interesting to see how fucked up things can get during four more years. I'm never having kids or anything so I don't need to care about "better tomorrow" ;)

Anyway, in my opinion this election was just like Alien vs. Predator anyway: "Whoever wins... We lose"

Oh, and to those who think the USA will invade France. Don't worry, there's no chance it will happen. France have some WMD and nuclear weapons ... for real

oh shit.. frenchies and 'le weapons avec destruction en masse' that's gonna suck.. :/

(then again, they are probably rusty and faulty anyway.. like everything in france ^_^)

I think they have about 500 warheads, afaik. That should be enough to dissuade any non-suicidal nation =) (Unless of course, you just nuked the entire country at once in an initial attack =P )

Anyways, considering I'm a lazy ass, I'll just copy/paste my flipcode comment on this subject (although it's now a wee bit out of date):

"As an American, I must say that I am most definitely voting for Kerry. As a matter of fact, I already have voted(absentee ballot).

In the past few years, we have witnessed the total polarization of American politics, with a public that tends to be quite fervently divided between two contrasting ideologies. President Bush has alienated some of our most important allies, and sent our foreign policy to hell. Additionally, he spent all the money allocated by the Clinton administration, that was to be used for saving Social Security, and has driven the largest deficit in human history. With a tax cut that tends to favor those well off, an expensive war, and aggressive military spending, our budget balance is absolutely horrendous.

But what irks me the most is what the United States did right after 9/11. After those attacks, nearly the entire world was united in sympathy for the US. With this goodwill, so much could have been accomplished for the benefit of us all. But what did our government do? They totally blew it."

Anyways, I have dual French/US citizenship, so I can always move if things get a little wild here ;) (which, according to Keops, makes me an evil half american fuck =P )

you could also move to places without a dual citizenship.

All events, including Bush's re-election seem very familiar to the history of Richard Nixon. So much that I expect that Bush will make an important mistake which will make him resign in a year or two. Some other republican will take office for the remaining term and then usa will problably vote democrats. So, just be patient.

moT, just keep telling yourself that. democrats and other not-retarded people are just clutching at straws trying to find excuses to not commit suicide out of depression for the next 4 years. Compare him to nixon all you want, it's not gonna end up that way. And besdies, the republicans still control the senate and house, so even without their monkeyboy figurehead they can still cause just as many problems as they want. america == fuxx0red for at least 4 more years.

Let me see, A neocon for president, significant majorities in both houses of congress, and a few retiring supreme justices? GREAT! Let's see what type of new legislation they pass now, as well as what type of freedoms we'll have to compromise. It wouldn't be half as bad if they didn't have such large majorities in congress. Now, the GOP will just be able to pass just about any bill they could possibly fathom.

John Edwards also gave up his seat on the US Senate to run for VP, and Tom Daschle, the minority leader just was ousted...

A great day indeed Americans.

Anyways, I'm up for Phoenix's idea... or alternatively getting rid of the heartland altogether ;)
