MOD file compilation?

category: music [glöplog]

I'm currently listening to the Sound of Scenesat series, and these songs go harder than steel. So I wanted to know if someone made a similar compilation, just with MOD/IT/S3M/XM files instead of mp3/flacs.

I found a few, but arent enough to fill my itch, and are also a bit outdated.
It is not curated as far as I know, but you can find basically all music of that kind downloadable in original formats from modland.

Oh, and modland has the files organized by tracker type, then artist. So it's pretty easy to find all Screamtracker modules by necros, for example.

how can i install an entire folder (like the entirety of the protracker file)?
you can't install mods but you can download these files and then associate their extensions with your preferred player (so associate .MOD with XMPlay, like you might have associated .AVI files with VLC)

i mean downloading the file named "protracker" in one go.
(although i used i bit o vlc to listen to mod files too)
Oh, I understand what you mean now. You can use an FTP client and connect to ftp.modland.com, then you can browse and download entire directories at once.

also if you want a more curated approach, there are many many musicdisks with mod/files, just search the database.
most of them are for AMIGAAAAA tho, so if you dont have one you might want to set up UAE or similar to listen to them.
