favorite DAW mistakes? (i.e. don't do this examples)

category: music [glöplog]
awesome thread! and thanks glxblt, will use quite a few of those points in my evoke renoise seminar. i have made so many mistakes over the 25 years composing that pointing to one is really hard. what baffles me most about my own incompetance is probably that only recently i started using a bit more advanced features in renoise. been using it since the very beginning, and only a few months ago i started using the lfo-device for instance. that is pretty fucking dumb, because now i love it :)

wow, thank you for the detailed advice glxbt, and everyone.
Investing time in Buzz and money on an RME Digi96/8 PAD for it to run with were arguably two of the most dumb and least productive yields I've done a decade ago. At least I had fun with it.

I so want to reply something of use to this thread, but the only thing I can think of is (somewhat obvious) Acid7 mockery. Sony really seems to be on a mission to take that DAW down the drain.

Ultima Mistake: Make music.
Always put enough reverb on your farts; it gives them body.
