                 Invite intro for ST/STe

              Released on November 9, 2000

  --------------------------------------------------------
   # Minimum requirements to run this intro
  --------------------------------------------------------

    - Atari ST

    - 1-megabyte ram

    - Colour monitor or TV

    - 8 MHz

  --------------------------------------------------------
   # Compatibility
  --------------------------------------------------------

    - Tested with STe, 16 MHz Falcon and 50 MHz CT2. But
should most probably work on Atari TT with normal
      TT-video (colour) as well.

    - If Fast-Ram is present, it is automaticly used and
      the framerate will be enhanced.

    - Tested with TOS and MiNT, no disasters noticed with
      these two OS'es.

    - If the computer is accelerated, the extra speed is
automaticly used and the framerate will be enhanced.

    - On plain ST with 512 colour palette, there will be
      interlaced colours here and there.

  --------------------------------------------------------
   # Credits
  --------------------------------------------------------

    - Code by Evil and Gizmo.

    - SSD-Player by Slippy/AM and Defjam/Checkpoint.

    - EIL-logo by No / Escape.

    - SSD-music by 505 / Checkpoint.

    - Other graphics, design, 3d-object, 4 colours logo
      conversion by Evil.

    - Photographs are from various sources.

   # About
  --------------------------------------------------------

    - Not much to say about it, it's a quick hack (like
      all recent DHS things..).

After the Falcon version of this intro was made, I
thought that hey why not try make an ST-version of
the intro. Started with the last part, used the
normal c2p routines etc. But memory exploded, and
the intro quickly didn't fit in 1 megabyte. So the
c2p routines had to be remade to use alot less
memory. Now the 4 plane c2p (intro) uses less than
1k lookups and the 2 plane about the same. Although
the penalty was speed, some 25% slower c2p routines.

The most work with the conversion was without doubt
to do the small c2p routs, the bleeding conversion
of the 256-colour to 16-colour picture (in the first
words scrolling by) and the 4-colour EIL logotype
conversion. It was hand-dithered of course. Long
live crackart. The photos were machine dithered
      though.
