This demo was designed to WORK. It is in NO WAY conceivable that
it could ever possibly NOT work, and in fact, if for some reason,
it chooses NOT to work on your computer, it is a conscious choice
of the demo, and certainly not OUR fault. In the unthinkable
circumstance that this should actually happen, it might be best
to pretend that it IS in fact working, and that you are really
under some massive delusion, and in need of a nice long nap.

      I am, of course, lying.

This demo was in reality whipped together in about two days,
and was designed to run as well as possible on the three
computers we tested it on. We have NO WAY of knowing whether it
will work properly on your computer, and we have no way at all of
knowing what'll happen if it DOESN'T work. (though please feel
free to tell us)... If something nasty happens to your computer
as a result of running this demo (or failing to), then... ummm...
oops? It's because it is completely IMPOSSIBLE to make sure it
runs flawlessly on every computer ever designed. See? Not our
      fault! Neat, huh?

Yes, there really IS a story behind the creation of this demo.
Initially we weren't going to do a Christmas demo at all, because
we were all very busy, and didn't have nearly enough time.

Now, Avery (EnigmaLogic of SCS) goes to Fort Frances every year
to celebrate Christmas with the rest of his family. He was
recently informed that all gifts given this year must be HAND
MADE. So of course, his dad made cookies, and he decided to make
      a demo.

This is all a really great plan of course, except that not all of
his relatives have a computer. He had no idea who his present was
going to be given to, so, the plan was to record the demo and its
music on video-tape at our hugely expensive TV lab at school, and
give the demo on VHS... This was done, and explains nicely why no
music plays when you run the demo. We did it separately on tape.
If you want to hear the music that we ended up using you can play
XMAS94.MOD, included in this archive, with your favourite MOD
      player.

And hey, nobody can complain that we don't support their sound
card, because this time around, we don't support ANYBODY's sound
card! Not even our own! :) Clever, no? :)

Actually we didn't decide to release this demo until about 2:00pm
on Christmas Eve... it surprised even US! Heck, I bet most of
our other group members didn't even KNOW about this thing... :)

                             ÀÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÙ

In order to run XMAS'94, you need at least a 386 processor, and
a VGA card. This demo has not been thoroughly tested, as it was
only intended to be run on one specific, randomly chosen computer
anyway. If it doesn't work, let us know, and we'll see what we
      can do.

To run the demo, all you need to do is run XMAS94.EXE, which darn
well better be included in this archive. :)

Wow, awfully quiet, isn't it? :) If you want to hear the song,
give a listen to XMAS94.MOD, which was thrown together by Dave
(DNA of SCS) in about a half an hour...

Thanks for trying this demo, and remember:

If it doesn't have a chicken on it, IT'S USELESS!
