So yeah this happened.
We're still square in the middle of finishing up on part three of the series,
(after Zombies and wildflOwer) when Covid-19 struck. We cancelled all meetings
and Outline even went online. Hereby breaking a 17 year old tradition.
Saving up the fireworks for the real deal, this intermezzo happened.
We wanted to release _something_ but not the project we've been working on
for the last four/five months.
Big up to Lynn Drumm for releasing that track by Paintcaster on Feline
Frequencies. That downtempo-vibe was pure gold.
I think this Party Leben remix needed a bit more of a philosophical context,
so after asking a German voiceover actor on Fiverr to sing along some other
German friends chipped in and within a couple of days the music was done.
For the visual side I plundered old demos and searched for old unused,
or long forgotten effects and meshes. Started on Sunday, decided colors on
Monday. Massive shout out to Inque for pioneering the grey/orange-style
with (amongst others) Scatterpillar: (https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=53181
This is the story of that same Scaterpillar, but now it is trapped in a digital world,
it is sleeping in a cocoon where it dreams of waking up. It dreams of being a Schmetterling,
it dreams of Party Leben. It questions reality. As of yet it can't yet determine a future
were it can fly around freely, it is after all trapped in a cocoon of it's own making.
From outside, people are watching in. Staring at the sleeping caterpillar.
Finally, at the end the Schmetterling is reborn and gets to play with the sheep.
Because the sheep are truely happy and free.
