2 days of love and happiness by KÜA software productions & Evolution [web] & MJJ Prod [web]

               The Kaleidoscopic Ephialtic Marathoners present:

2 days of love and happiness

Done for the DHS 15kb competition held in Christmas 2003.

                                 Requirements:

- One (1) computer that is capable of running 68000 code, and that is able to
parse TOS executables (if you find anything other than an Atari
(Mega)ST/E/TT/Falcon please let us know). Oh, ST Low or ST Med resolutions only
and please run it at 50Hz, as we have put a watchdog routine that if it detects
60Hz, it will emit some sound frequencies that will make your brain's I.Q.
equal to that of Britney Spears or of a wooden table (lab tests had verified
that these two subjects' difference in IQ is not distinguishable)
- One (1) monitor, so that you'll verify for yourselves that this program
actually puts some pixels around
- At least one (1) speaker connected to the computer and its volume turned up,
for your aural enjoyment
- One (1) psychotherapist capable of hypnotizing you and making you believe
that the year is 1985, the STM just came out, and there are no demos released
yet.
- One (1) pack of aspirins, to heal the hangover you will have after watching

                               People involved:

                      Baggio/Evolution (baggio@canit.se):
Astonishing pieces of music. (Il Maestro!)

                                C-REM/MJJ Prod:
Outstanding and skilled moves of the mouse and clicks
of the mouse button in order to create the graphics.
(He's a candidate for an Oscar in that category)

                 GGN/KšA Software productions (ggn@atari.org):
Stayed late at night drinking and listening to music,
hitting his head hard on a convenient wall, cleaned
the house, and jerked around in general.
                            (Also, did the coding)

                         Bear (bjornar@hem.utfors.se):
for his amazing font, that sadly couldn't be
included here. And then, just to prove that he is
a nutter, he sent me a font that could be included
(and was) 2 seconds before I pressed 'send' and
                     thus sending the contribution away!!!

                                  Song list:

                             1. Speed E is spooky

                             2. Ode to inspiration

                                  3. Xmas sux

Software used in order to achieve this engineering miracle:
Turbo Assembler 1.7.7 (Very interesting text writing
capabilities, we had lots of fun changing
the editor's palette, until we pressed
'assemble'. Then, the program got a life
of its own and started writing about 900
lines of some incoherent words in some
weird syntax. Later, we were told by
experts that it read our minds about what
we wanted to do and wrote the program for
us so we could get off its back)
Bugaboo 1.7.14 (For trying to understand what the above program
did program. Alas, we couldn't change the palette
in this program. We counsulted with our lawyers
                and will sue the programmers)
Sid Sound Designer (Although we didn't use it too much, because
we found it too late and Baggio had already
composed the music in a hex editor. Beethoven
might have been deaf while composing, but at
least he could see the notes. Baggio didn't
even have the luxury of that. In your face,
                    Wolfgang!)
Degas Elite (Well, C-Rem swore to us that he used it to create
the pic, but we know for a fact that he went to
Santa's place and took a pic of him -along with some
other pics in embarrasing poses, which Santa didn't
notice as he was hibernating at the period, but
because we have to preserve the Christmas spirit we
won't show them to you-, opened it up in Photoshop,
saved it as a wav, had a car run over the hard disk,
pooped on it, then put it on his ST, and the pic was
             there in PI1. Go figure)
UPX 1.24 (Program packer. A miracle. We knew that beforehand)
GFA BASIC 3.5 (font conversion)
There might have been more, but we forget...

Remember, the project started 2 days before the deadline (18/12/2003,
24:00), and hence it is made with 30% percent more love than our competitors.
Please remember that while voting.

Look out for our forthcoming web page at http://microsoft.com (some
early betas of this demo leaked in the net, Microsoft got a hold of them, and
forced us (under gun threat) to sign a 200 year contract with them in which we
won't do absolutely anything (they even went as far as hiring Biologists and
Chemical engineers with the sole purpose of expanding our life spans to 200
years so we'd live up to the contract), because they were scared to death when
they saw our beta.

The Kaleidoscopic Ephialtic Marathoners are also available for parties,
weddings etc. at affordable prices.

        Thank you for reading.

        Enjoy (if you can)
