The Lifeway - Readme

Introduction
Welcome to The LifeWay 1.0!
We are really proud of release the final version of this demo, more consequent with the original storyboard than the party version. That Party version was a really messy production, so we took some time to order all the sections and correct a lot of small issues.

What does this demo mean?
The LifeWay was designed as a simple prod to represent some stages of life, from the beginning to the end. We prefer to give you the opportunity of guessing the meaning of each part. If you would like to know our impressions or the particular meaning (by design) of one of them, simply email us :)

The improvements
Our engine has significant changes since Reborn. Perhaps the most visible is the already finished particle engine and the redesigned diffusion efx module.

The changes since the Party version are really huge. A new demokernel with video exporter support, new and completely redesigned sections, many graphics and memory optimizations, new blue appearance, paths and titles, a frenetic tube effect, and a complete code rework to minimize size versus speed, elliminating a lot of DLLs (in PC version)

Any Problem?
If you experience any kind of problem with this demo, please let us know your configuration and operating system, it does not matter if it affects mac or pc.

The configurations
The prod has been tested in the following computers, running smoothly:
- PBook G4 867 + GForce 4 MX + 10.2
- PBook G3 600 + Radeon 7000 + 10.2
- PMac G4 400 + Radeon 7500 + 10.2

- W98 + Athlon 1400 + GForce 2 MX
- W2K + PIV 1600 + Radeon 7500

With ATI rage cards, (that were unfortunately used intensively with a lot of Macintosh below 500Mhz) which does not support Render to Texture, performance will slow down too much. We will provide a mpeg4-compliant version to cover these configurations.

We cannot support configurations below MacOS 10.2 since the render to texture functionality was only implemented in this version an ahead.
