Interesting, but why is there no normal d64 version included (i see only single prg-files)? Or is this update only for SD2IEC users?
The new custom SD2IEC firmware indeed offers fantastic opportunities for uploading custom drive code, enriching it with unique programs akin to the original 1541 drive. The .prg files also enable easy viewing of images. The D64 disks are small, and the original drive would be too slow for this amount of data, making SD2IEC a more suitable choice. I believe acquiring an SD2IEC is easier, and copying data to an SD card is much less problematic than dealing with floppy disks.
