- demo Windows terminal torsk tre tusen by Xinux
- I was the demo compo organizer at the party. The demo was shown in a fairly buggy fullscreen-capable terminal program I had downloaded, so I was pretty nervous during the compo show.
The font used for the competition show was most likely "IBM VGA9 (Plus)" from https://int10h.org/oldschool-pc-fonts/fontlist/ It's an utf-8 compatible font.
The original submission used the default windows terminal that has a titlebar, a fairly ugly color scheme and a horrible font but it worked out of the box on most windows machines.
I set up the custom terminal to use the default 'vga colors' from the dos era and the coder gave me a new executable tweaked for those colors. That version looked better than their original submission due to better characters for dithering and the addition of a decent orange instead of a ghastly yellow found in many terminals.
For optimum viewing, you should most likely use these settings to get the shading and coloring correct and see what we saw at the party. I believe the competition version was the one we uploaded to ftp.gathering.org. - isokadded on the 2017-11-19 05:48:27

- If I can get around to it, I will clean up and release the source code. It's horrible, but it's a decent skeleton for a basic demo. The linemorph, tunnel, starfield and overlay coded is by me, the rest is based on stuff mostly found in old Outracks tutorials. The music is by Another Zen.
Effectwise it has: overlays, bloom, bumpmapping, linemorphing, starfield, tunnel, vectorslime and audio synched effects. The contains a lot of old projects and more effects. It features among others a complete playable tetris game.
There's also support for -width=x and -height=y parameters in case the default resolution isn't ideal for your monitor. The hardcoded resolution is what we figured would most likely look ok on the round compo screen, the infamous screen i dubbed TG Scope. - isokadded on the 2016-03-31 02:57:56
- demo Windows Tryggvification 9 by Zokum
- It was a pure party production. Started working on it about 02:00, went to bed about 05:00, due to a bug in the compo system couldn't hand it in then. Got some sleep and had my alarm set for about 11:30 and handed it in about 11:45. Updated the entry later in the day with some missing DLLs so it would run fine on the freshly installed compo machine.
