- The Assembly slides didn't mention it but we used our own exe packer. The packer used a variation of LZ77 with close-to-optimal parsing and an adaptive entropy coder. Maybe I'll write a post on the algorithm, development process and details of combining the exe-generator and compressor.
We did use ryg's x86 filter but at the end it proved to be unnecessary as we were far off from the 64kb limit anyway :) - isokadded on the 2018-08-05 16:27:34
