- 32k demo Atari VCS five finGERPrints by Five Finger Punch
- This is the answer to the question: what would a wAMMA/Trilobit demo look like in 2023?
Awesome stuff, thanks! - rulezadded on the 2023-02-13 23:28:00
- 4k Atari VCS Floppy Rescue by VMW Productions [web]
- Next time, please consider stuff like this as a remote entry for a demoparty. A live recording of an audience watching this would have been cheering gold.

- 256b Atari VCS CoRoBars by Shiru
- Nice 256b product.
Could you fix it, that it also runs on real hardware? The demo is very unstable on the screen lines it uses, Yours takes 269 or 270 lines. NTSC defines 262, PAL 312. 270 lines would also work, but an odd number of lines definatly breaks display on a PAL machine. - rulezadded on the 2021-01-17 22:32:01
- 32k demo Atari VCS Bang! by XAYAX
- Using the time given by the Corona pandemic, I finally built a cartridge using the original SARA RAM chip. And so it's finally verified that this demo could have been created using what was available in the mid 80s.

- Tjoppen: you are so evil. It took me several minutes to come up with the answer to the question: what song is this? .... arghl....
Is using the left playfield half plus the player0 sprite to build a 28 pixel area officially called "the Tjoppen effect"? ;-)
Nice piece of code. - rulezadded on the 2018-07-23 19:39:23

- Gargaj: the biggest difference is: if you feed MilkDrop 3 minutes of silence you still get animations, here you'll get a black screen.
You comparison isn't far fetched, but as the minisite states, the pattern configuration is not random, but thought out to show all of the effects the hardware is capable of.
While planning this, I had the idea of getting a Raspberry Pi up to do the pattern switching, but the risk of breaking something beyond repair was too high, and the hardware is in excellent shape for being 40 years old. So I decided to key in the effects as the music plays and the video gets recorded. (The script I used is in the archive.)
If I decide to reproduce it, it would look the same again, except for the analogue parts, like the deals are a few degrees off or me changing the effect a bit too early/late, etc. - isokadded on the 2017-05-28 17:22:28

- Gargaj: you got it right on the first half: music is fed in, but the parameters get modified "by hand" an realtime. Take a look at the webpage: http://xayax.net/trsi/AtariVideoMusic-TheDemo/
Salinga: the chip is some kind of predecessor to tha TIA of the Atari 2600 VCS, and as far as I can tell, only analogue parts. You assumption only works for one horizontal object, not for five. - isokadded on the 2017-04-24 20:39:51
