- This was just completely fantastic. Pure love here for the zero-polygon approach. When that moon picture came in, I was definitely thinking 'yeah, this is a bitmap, no doubt'. Then it wasn't, and my mind was blown.

- TBL, you guys should consider putting a compressed old music file here on this msg. board for the few of us to use. Sort of an unofficial/official release if you will. Or can I just compress the old WAV into Atrac3? Is the timing of new song the same?
hitchhikr, the final version is better and more polished than the old one, except for the music, I suppose (the whole uproar about music was total BS to begin with, IMO). If I was seeing this for the first time, and not 101st time, there's no doubt I'd be as floored as I was when I first saw it months ago.
No frameskips at all on my PSP btw, but I don't remember seeing any on the party version either. - isokadded on the 2007-08-07 17:27:42

- ReJ, please make an 'unofficial' final release that will have this same music that party version has, just have it compressed and bugfixed and whatnot.
There's plenty of people who just want to have cool music in the demo and don't care how many seconds was sampled from the source song, if it's more seconds than the rules of the sampling allow or not...
The way you worded your post with "final" and "official" releases, makes me hopeful this is something you already have in mind. - isokadded on the 2007-04-19 19:04:20

- Holy fucking crap, amazing looking demo. Even though the animation is limited, the simulated global illumination technique in some of the scenes is incredible looking, especially at that smooth framerate. Loved the circle-effect 3D face as well, it was a reasonable realtime approximation of a complex effect seen in a TV commercal, and the colors selected were great.
I don't understand the uproar about the music. OK, they did kind of a remix, but it seems like all they took from the original is some of the voice track. Their version sounds significantly better too, to the point that it just sounds like a completely different song.
Theme with naked and posed barbie dolls has been done several times before in the photography, big deal, are they supposed to credit every photographer that did that before them? (I know of at least few, hell I personally know one guy who did that kind of photos!)
It was a bit of a problem to make it work, the folder structure is not set up correctly in the archive (it's explained somewhere in this thread though) and it needs an unofficial fix again posted in this thread to make it work on OE firmware PSP.
Awesome demo, I just hope they release a compressed music version, 120MB is really a bit of an overkill, but 95MB of that is uncompressed music alone.
warp, this is the best PSP demo, but not the only one worth watching - check out Flower by Moppi production (it's a PC port, but still) - rulezadded on the 2007-04-18 21:27:31
