  The demo is working perfectly from the Gotek HxC too as long as you use the DSK or an HFEv1 or V3. Just don't use the HFE present in the demo archive.

  I think the issue comes from the Gotek itself. You are the second person raising such issue with the exact same configuration. I do not own one to investigate more, sorry. We never met issues with real drives and hxc.

  
  
  I am the HxC Floppy developer. MiCv2 contacted me. The issue is that the HxC Gotek firmware doesn't support "very well" the HFEv2 experimental format variant. It was replaced by the HFEv3 on this hardware. Since the demo disk layout doesn't seems to have any specific protection i recommend to use the standard/generic HFEv1. This one is compatible with all HxC and Gotek.
