• las: try killing anything that is using /dev/dsp. perhaps 'killall esd' will be a start. lsof might help you identify what is hogging the dsp device.

  it uses SCONS to build (www.scons.org), but that should not be a real problem. The main problems i had during porting were with ImageMagick. I would rather get rid of that whole library, but I need it for png/jpeg loading at the moment.

• If it isn't smooth then I must blame the sdl backend I used (I'm not sure how to force vsync in windows).
  
  It was originally coded on a p133 and on there it doesn't drop a single frame. If anyone has any good tips on how to fix it you're welcome (the source is out there too, but i'm not sure if it is entirely up to date with the latest binary).
