- So - disclaimer: the demo "violating the competition rules" is partly my fault. I've seen that they did not fill out the AI notes in Partymeister, and - for whatever reason that I can't explain now - decided not to call them, and request feedback on it. I was the safety net, and I failed. Then just put it into the compo. A bunch of it is quite obviously AI, and I've seen it, and I've also seen that the AI part of the entry page was left empty. Yet I haven't taken action on it.
Take this as you will. But don't forget - while directing all your hate towards the creators, there's a number of hands an entry goes through before it gets to the Revision big screen. They did not fool me, but I was inconsistent in handling the - new for this year - rules. I apologize for that. No, I did not think parts of this was not AI. Yes, I personally dislike every gen AI use in art.
But this kind of backslash was still entirely uncalled for, IMO. I'm going to draw the consequences for the future. - rulezadded on the 2025-04-26 00:32:02
