- Here in Argentina, Amstrad platforms were never popular. In fact, we produced an official PAL-N version of the Commodore 64, and the MSX was a distant second.
However, in terms of consoles, the Mega Drive was a massive success here, to the point that unlicensed clones are still manufactured locally today, and consequently, Sonic is quite popular in these parts.
And that's how I discovered this port for the Amstrad Plus. I was completely unfamiliar with this hardware, but I followed the development. It looks not only incredible, but the sheer number of effects without any slowdown is remarkable.
