- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Generation X by Binary
- @tomkh
No, we pretty much use the same method: sketch, scan, import into photoshop/illustrator, once finished convert to Amiga format and clean up in grafx2 (or im my case, replace all of those with gimp 2.10 + a few simple selfmade plug-ins, mainly for 12-bit rgb support). We don't have dpaint wizards in the group, so that's the way we do it, ninja and gremlin included.
As for the ai checkers, we did some testing yesterday, and they are all over the place. In general, you feed them original (24-bit, ultra hires) and it's reported as human made, but converted lores version with dithering could suddenly become 100% ai. And then e.g. you replace a gradient background with solid color, and it's all good again.
We also tried some of the popular pictures from the '90s Amiga scene, and many of them were reported as ai, with a very high certainty (90%+). Maybe they are good for contemporary stuff, but lores low color doesn't seem to have enough information density, resulting in false positives. - isokadded on the 2026-04-15 22:39:54

- Man, that was an interesting week. Slowly catching up after 6 days of being afk, literally plugged out of the world. Doctor's orders are still in effect, mandatory 8 hours a day of m68k coding until stable condition reached, what can you do.
OK... thanks for constructive feedback. We will try harder next time, with more scrollers and copperbars. I also feel bad for not including glenz vectors, so maybe next time.
We have noticed complaints about ai, and it seems you don't like our clumsy ninja, or Mr. Bean ninja as I call him. Specifically, his finger count being wrong (a little advice: do *not* watch Mortal Kombat), ai signature mistake. This is unfortunate for me because I counted 9 fingers, and now can't make a bad hexadecimal joke. Anyway, I pinged Gazela to send me his files, so you can re-check it yourself and report if you see something wrong: https://drive.proton.me/urls/JF43WE42P4#rCAepZp13P2Q
(for the lazy ones like myself: it's hand drawn on paper, scanned, imported into photoshop, etc.)
And finally, there's some good news for slop lovers. To keep up with demoscene traditions, this release was actually v0.99, and there's a good chance we will release the final version soon. I'm waiting on bugreports, and I want to finish the RGB vector fx, the one featuring real-time octree color quantization 96/2 to 30 colors (does this sound impressive enough? I'm not good at this, so let me know.. my number is 1-800-doc-brown). It was downgraded due to hw/winuae issues, and one significant part is missing.
@Hannibal
Yeah, it's 1856x4bpl (=7424). We, in Glorious Republic of My Mum's Basement, are proudly conforming to metric demo standards, and always report huge inflated numbers.
Anyways, specs are something like: full 3-axis rotation, perspective projection, completely independent 3D dots (no mirroring, grouping, etc.), morph from anywhere to anywhere within [-128,+127]^3 cube.
Looking forward to your next "that would take way too much effort these days, I mostly do small experiments for fun" demo :P.
@TomCat666
Reported to Von Der Ursula for craxxoring my denuvo. I'll order the most expensive mineral water next time it's your turn to pay for the drinks, that will teach you.
@Blueberry
About your asm-pro suggestions from Revision... Just finished improved undef symbol reporting, and I'm now looking into multi-source debugging. I have some ideas, but it's gonna be ugly and probably take some time :\. - isokadded on the 2026-04-11 13:28:44

- Nurrsing Home crew of Binary is coming back to Sisak after 32 years or hibernation with a quick hackjob because we don't come to a party emptyhanded.
You'll have to pull a 68040+fastram out of your sleeve for this one because AI generated fortran77 code is ace! - isokadded on the 2025-11-23 19:03:21
