  unfortunately, neither glu nor python support threaded loading. but there are other methods to speed this up. as said, the second time, it loads way faster.

• yep. vertex shaders are required to transform uv coordinates smoothly. and i guess you do not have those either.

  yes it is. at least if you arrange the elements right. you cant do it in svg directly, you need to use your own editor for that.

  half the challenge is coping with people who think just because its linux i they dont have to provide non-standard libraries with their demos. what comes next? textures are not being included because i could easily do my own with gimp?
