- What's the point of releasing a "demo" and posting it on OJuice, pouet etc if you only want people to say "yeah, that's nice for newbiews"? It simply ISN'T. Hell, there are better effects in NeHe's tutorials, and all this "we didn't use timers" stuff is already about double the typing work it would've taken to change that.

- On the font subject: CP did fr-012, CP did this one too, he seems to like the font, so let him be :)
Same thing about effects etc. reuse - he never asked for new ones, and he wants to use FVS, so he kinda has to stick with ones we already (over)used :)
And for the people who want the complete list: scripting engine/music system/writers are from fr06, noise/bounce is 09, engine is pure unmodified 09 (which in turn is nearly unmodified 06; all code that was used in 012 was written on tp2000, since we were planning to release goldrausch there), and no new code was written for the demo, since cp didn't show us anything before dialogos, and all fvs-compatible :) coders were busy working on other things (expect something soon)
oh, and on the 3d animation: respect to cp, since the fr06 engine doesn't support skeletal animation at all :) - isokadded on the 2001-11-07 10:11:58

- rtt IS slow, but not THAT slow, and I don't see why this intro would need it anyway (for that one 100% reflective cube? the standard mirroring algo would work perfectly and probably be faster too).

- Simple effects? Well, it maybe doesn't look like it, but this demo actually features quite great (and certainly nontrivial) code.
The rulez is for the perfect, chilly ambient this prod has - start this any time of day, relax and feel good.
