• btw, I noticed you linked my rocket fork in the readme, but you probably want to link the original instead; my fork was a hack that only changed the rows/bar to 12 instead of 4/8 for the triplet groove in backscatter, iirc. :)

• easily one of my favorite demos of the era. Great soundtrack and editing, and I recall the demo running very smoothly on my midrange gfx card at the time as well. Very influential for me!

• there's actually some surprising depth in the sound design, even with everything being so cheap. For example, the warmer scenes were matched with warmer synth sounds, and vice versa for colder scenes.
