- Surprized in which way ? Sound on thomson is not easy as there is no dedicated autonomous chip to perform sound. Just a single bit-buzzer and a 6-bits DAC are available. Hence there is no real chiptune alike sound on this machine. Only digitalized compos played from memory by the CPU are used (see other prods like Chinese stack or Space project for instance). That's why the title music is only available if you have enough memory (it is a big loop, presumably packed to fit in 256kb), but that's also why the digitized sound can be played at 44khz (CD quality) because all the CPU power is available during the title screen. I hope it explains things (I'm just guessing here: I'm not the author).

- Super cool! Very fast and nice GFX, SFX and MUSIC sounds good. This production rules the thomson game scene. Constant 25fps, when new GHZ console barely achieve 30fps nowadays. Hats off!

- musicdisk Thomson TO8 deMODed? by PULS [web]
- Well, most *.mod files don't fit in memory. You'll have to convert them in my ultra compact format, and they work fine. This format is well suited to 8bit cpus and allows most MOD effects (only the "invert loop" effect is unsupported since it is too slow for 8bits cpu.)
