- demo Windows downtown lobby by Nah-Kolor [web] & anadune [web]
- The haujobb influence is obvious but downtown lobby doesn't look like a haujobb demo, instead it has it's own "sunny" look that I do like. It starts out really beautiful and the backgrounds stay that way thru the whole deal. I'm reminded of artcity.
Where it fails is with the abstract objects that are far too simplistic. For haujobb (and farb-rausch) they work because they are interesting but being so utterly simple makes them a pain to look at here. Not only that but it also suffers from a patchy look, textures that are out of place (if there's a good way to wrap text around an object, this isn't it).
Just doesn't work as well as it could. Fundamentally enjoyable but feels like an uncut diamond. - isokadded on the 2006-04-13 16:01:32
- demo Windows 33 by Nah-Kolor [web]
- It's good but not extra special. Like the sync, the soundtrack and the idea. Indeed a bit kasparov-like again although much less so than initialize. The beginning part keeps interesting in a sophisticated way, when you are left looking at the small details and changes, the gearwheel part looks fine but holds the least lasting appeal and I feel the ending could've been done without the gag.

- demo Windows Infinity by Nah-Kolor [web]
- An all right dark demo with some good design elements and interesting visuals in some parts. I particularly like the one before the credits with sort of a glimmering unworldly look to it.
Some scenes just don't fit at all and have an ugly colourscheme to boot (WTF's up with the red & green - worst part of the demo) and others just haven't got that much happening. Sometime's the composition is pretty good, other times not at all. It's a mixed bag.

- demo MS-Dos Windows 7d0 Millennium by AND [web]
- The colours & design are all over the place and I suppose it isn't that special for 2000 but I like DSD-style and this for some reason. It's a fun to watch mostly-flyby demo that I'd put on the screen for that party feeling along with Boost and some others. Plus it's quite an effort for to be done solo.

- demo Windows MacOSX PPC MacOSX Intel Inferno by Spöntz [web]
- Poor scene poetry, ugly colours, most scenes consist of a background effect from "ISO standard for demo effects" and a single 3D model on the foreground. Ugh.

- demo Windows departure by Alpha Millenium Crew
- A very mellow and "philosophical" experience that is achieved by both the visuals and sound being a little heavy-hearted. Great use of particles/flares as pictured in the shot. (welcome back from '94, particle tunnel) They work well in other scenes too.
The first "ball over a pool of water" scene and "the end" seem completely out of place, the latter also being ugly. The blob that can be seen in the shot is also pretty much a standard demo prop. Nice little demo nonetheless. - isokadded on the 2006-04-13 02:34:22
- demo Windows I'm Abstract by Calodox
- All right, it's not much of a demo, can't credit it with the music, the video composition is ok but I don't know what the good fx could be.
Fun, somewhat stylish in a way and it's certainly something else. Just too little. - sucksadded on the 2006-04-13 02:12:01
- demo Windows Back To Black by Calodox
- The 2D is fine and so's the last scene. Take those out and you've got nothing of interest here, really.
Well I guess it has some consistency too, but the remaining effects are either too simple or messy. And since I can't take the music into account... - sucksadded on the 2006-04-13 01:27:52
- demo Windows white by eL
- This one looks pretty nice actually, but again way too little for the time it wants to stay on the screen. Would make a somewhat amusing music player plugin though. All I've previously said about eL's stuff applies.

- demo Windows haave by eL
- Most of what I said about aave also applies here but on the bright side the effect is a little bit more interesting and it develops a little with the flowers as background (and they're strictly that since you can't see much thru the main "effect").
Music was fairly nice too, but it's still got all the same flaws aave has and most other eL prods too. - sucksadded on the 2006-04-13 01:03:14
