- 64k JavaScript Chekhov's Gum by Neuralyte
- Certainly not the shiniest horse in the barn, but I love it for the new and different ideas, and that amen kicks ass!

- 64k JavaScript Condition by FMS_Cat [web]
- So very tight, on point and shiny - it just keeps bringing the next banger before I'm done processing the current one. And it's all made by one person - jaw, meet toilet tunnel.
Easily my personal CDC from the compo. - rulezadded on the 2021-04-10 19:38:47

- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Hologon by The Electronic Knights
- Proper OCS demo style! It's mostly a themed effect show with little to tie them together, but I dig that! I also love how it's more than just 5 minutes of showing off a fullscreen 3d engine with blocky pixels - I can see there's a lot of different kinds of hardware trickery involved in each effect. The graphics are top notch and the soundtrack fits both the mood of the demo and the nice throwback to the 90s :)
The 90s demo style and your idea of mailspreading are going together really well - but also thanks to noname for making it available to people like me who aren't super deep into the Amiga scene and therefore couldn't be arsed to send a letter :) (For the record, I did install an emulator to run it!) - rulezadded on the 2021-02-19 13:35:15

- demo C16/116/plus4 rocket science by Bauknecht [web] & The Electronic Knights
- When the "flip disk" screen came up I was "WAIT THIS IS ONLY THE HALFWAY POINT?!". The effects just keep on coming! Some ended up longer than necessary imo but I don't mind, they're just so good and some are way beyond what I would have expected from any 8bit platform (probably just goes to show how much I know about 8bit platforms ;) ).
And for some reason I'm a sucker for Degauss' TED music - the almost atonal rhythms are really mesmerizing to me. - rulezadded on the 2021-02-13 01:46:05

- demo Windows A World without Lights by Desire [web] & Calodox
- I remember how you told me at Revision that you're intentionally shunning PBR in favor of artificial lighting/colors that just look good - and it's working pretty well :) The "less realism, more pwetty colorzzz" approach makes the scenes all the more dreamlike (as does the chunky blur imo) and gives them a watercolor-y look that reminds me of Viianki.
Add to that Alkama's literally award winning soundtrack that gives me goosebumps when it builds up <3 It too reminds me of something, and that is the work of KiloWatts which I hold in very high regard.
Last, when I ran on my machine the demo didn't exit when it was over but left the last scene on screen, with some animation still slowly running, waiting for me to hit ESC whenever I so desired. Not sure if glitch or intentional (since nobody else mentioned it), but I loved it! Not only do you take me into another world, you let _me_ decide when I'm ready to leave it instead of yanking me back to a desktop.
So all in all, thanks <3 - rulezadded on the 2020-09-20 21:48:18
