- Patchwork is a small sound sequencer that uses parts of recorded sid songs for instruments. It is mostly a proof-of-concept, just to see if this kind of player would work. Though it can be used to make grooves, small remixes or loops.

- FMX v1.0 (Commodore 64)
An FM Sound Expander driver using sid chip songs as input.
Requires:
* DASM assembler.
* Either a real Expander cart/clone or a recent copy of the VICE emulator.
* Some exported songs in .PRG (c64 header) or .BIN (raw binary) format.
In the docs folder there's a quickstart guide, and I've added some configs for different setups in the src folder.
The song demos have been built in PAL mode, though the driver supports an NTSC frequency table too. (though it's not been extensively tested) - isokadded on the 2017-11-13 16:51:24

Read the scroller for more info, but basically this is a quick demo of a wrapper/driver I'm working on that converts SID music into FM data as it plays. The idea was to find an easier way to write songs for Commodore's FM Expander cart, as this lets you use any music editor you want. (in theory) If you don't have a cart (they're quite rare) then the Vice emulator supports this device, to switch it on: 1) Go to Settings Menu, select Cartridge/IO Settings. 2) Go into SFX Sound Expander settings. 3) Check the tickbox, leave the sound chip type as 3526. We gave the previous version of this a test on hardware and it's working there, so hopefully this works too. I'm still chasing down bugs and generally fixing stuff so there's no fixed release date yet.

- Yes as tomaes says the cycle pauses are what makes the 'story' work how I wanted. As with Wallflower I've got about 30 versions of these intros with different sources, the filesize is less important than the end result.
