• This is a seriously bad ass demo. I love how angry this is. The music is just weird and wonderful, and the visuals support it in a big way. There is only one thing here that I do not get: why there is almost no fix in here? was it a conscious design decision or was it just not perceived just as important at the time?

• This demo is to a large extent antithesis of most things I like in demos. It is very old school, as in "effects for effects sake, nothing else matters". However, some of these effects are pretty fresh for the platform and one cannot ignore this.

• Preacher, an infamous 1982 advert of 48K ZX Spectrum was showing an overscan image of a splash on the orange background. On Spectrum there are no overscan "modes" and there are no brown/orange colours in the palette. Some people still feel cheated.
  
  So, it was nice to discover that the advert could potentially have been made in 1K with one of 128K ZX Spectrum models :)

• This program was found in a shoebox of ZX Spectrum tapes purchased
  at a car boot sale in Windsor. The seller claimed to have found the
  box in the loft of his house, left there, amongst other things, by one
  of previous owners. In addition to several old games by Artic Computing
  and Ultimate, most of the tapes in the box were boring educational
  programs published by the Sinclair Research in the early 1980s. However,
  one of the tapes attracted my attention. It was a regular Type 1 BASF
  cassette, with a word "Splash" handwritten on one side and "do not
  distribute / Sinclair Research Ltd" on the other. Neither the date of
  the recording, nor the author (authors?) of the program were indicated.
  Recorded on the tape was just one short program, enclosed here.
