- In my view it's an unengaging, nu-media-ish, screensaver-y, sterile, static, dull advertisement. It has all the charm of a last minute "plan-b" business product, rushed out in time, but in the end merely a shadow of what it was originally supposed to be.

It's mostly done to halt the $A0..$A2 timers temporarily, to get a bit better timing resolution; the minor slow down, also due to the $7e jump leads to a somewhat more pronounced "multi speed" audio glitching. I've linked my code review above. :)

- The idea is neat enough, but really, it's too easy, buggy and eventless to be any fun. By level 8, I'm flying outside the walls, by level 9 the games crashes. The "map" seems pointless too, as it doesn't convey any kind of useful information. The sound is nice, but I'd rather have you invest those bytes in a real sprite and a real map generator.
And people really shouldn't upvote because of (intentionally?) shitty videos that obscure what it actually looks and plays like. :) - isokadded on the 2014-03-15 08:59:14
