- The character size is 8x8 *in Windows*, yes. But the VGA hardware generates a 9th column. Thus, the image generated from your OpenGL renderer (which is a really great idea BTW and highly appreciated!) is not identical to what you get when running the textmode version in fullscreen.

- I like Hedelmae, I love textmode demos and this demo is rock solid -> thumb of course.
However, I'd like to point out that the OpenGL renderer does *not* produce the same output as the console version, because real console output would be 720x400, not 640x400 :) - rulezadded on the 2011-01-20 17:46:27

1. To me, the planet looks like it's straight from an Arthur C Clarke novel (which is a good thing).
2. Absolutely perfect visual quality and fitting music.

- BTW, contrary to what the infofile says, it runs just fine and with decent framerate in 720p on my 8600M GT with only 128 MiB video memory.

- A truly fantastic demo. Good music, great design, awesome models (<3 the credits!) and the greetings scene is just awesome.

- I absolutely HATED "The Golden Path", but this one is actually quite entertaining, even though it's more or less the same. Weird ... but in a good way.
