- demo ZX Spectrum Bomb by ate bit [web]
- What I like about the "Bomb" is just how clever it is. The effects are _clever_ because they can all be done nicely in a frame and because they do not look like attribute effects much of the time (the chunk fade on the twister is particularly neat in this respect). The soundtrack is _clever_, because it uses the style that suits the AY/YM chip the best. The actual content is _clever_, because it develops nicely and at no time feels forced. To my mind, this is great illustration of the fact that demo is a proper composite artform, which cannot be reduced to one particular aspect of it (be it code or graphics or music).

- demo Amiga AGA Smoke Bomb by Ozone
- This one is an excellent example of a demo that can hold its own next to a video clip of your choosing. Bold, confident and absolutely impenetrable :)
So how DO they manage to smoke? - rulezadded on the 2014-07-02 18:15:42
- demo Commodore 64 Romeo by Fairlight [web]
- This is one extremely bold demo. It plays off the contrast between the Dire Straights lyrics and the overall darker mood. I am not such a big fun of the robot-styling, but the visuals are consistent and impactful. The Dancing Elvis is just priceless.
Overall, this is one of my favourite demos for C64. Lovely to see so many angry people in the comments :) - rulezadded on the 2014-07-02 11:03:42
- 128b MS-Dos Wolf128 by Red Sector Inc. [web]
- Extremely cool prod. I wish one could do something at least remotely comparable on one of 8-bit platforms :)

- demo Amiga OCS/ECS State of the Art by Spaceballs [web]
- Never had an Amiga, was not following the demoscene, so I saw this demo last year for the very first time. It aged fairly well (seems of the era, but not as dated as many music videos from the time period). It still looks pretty good and it still holds together. This just shows how little the computational complexity of the effects matters in the grand theme of things, even if it is computer demos we are talking about.

- demo ZX Spectrum Western Propaganda by Five Finger Punch
- I fully support the opinions expressed in this prod.

- demo ZX Spectrum Down by Life on Mars
- A final, proper, post-party fixed edition is now available. It looks pretty much identical, but is compatible with the vast majority of 128K ZX Spectrum clones out there. It also supports TR-DOS.
A tiny Easter egg has also been added (especially for nyuk). - isokadded on the 2014-06-28 11:43:28
- demo ZX Spectrum Down by Life on Mars
- lvd, in my book "reused" means "has been used elsewhere". Has it really been used elsewhere or did you mean to say "previously released"?
Your remark about 1k or 4k is genuinely funny and much appreciated. Would love to see you try. - isokadded on the 2014-06-24 14:51:35
- game Windows Android r0x EP by Retro Gamer CD [web] & Unstable Label [web]
- Did not try playing it, but really enjoyed the presentation on the big screen. Great work, guys!
