1k is extremely tight, and it feels like we're about at the limit of what could be done in 1k with current tech (as opposed to e.g. 4k -- space of what's possible in 4k hasn't even been explored that much; 4k is enormous amount of space to do things). I wonder, if a breakthrough of some kind is possible in 1k, e.g. ditching GPUs and doing soft rendering, better instruction encoding schemes (e.g. pre-baking stack contents for function calls), etc. - rulezadded on the 2024-11-20 17:47:08
