- Technically and graphically it's superb, but what bugs (haha) me is that many games on C64 features incredibly bad movement (including this one). How hard is it to implement an 8.8 fixpoint movement with some simple gravitty? It's like 20 lines of assembly or something to do a physically "correct" jump-motion.
Although I recognize that a constant pull of gravity will make life hard for the collision detection if not implemented carefully (fall through the floor suddenly etc.). But simple heuristics solved this problem also, so in the end there are simply no excuse for this triangular wave jump motion. Grrrr. ;)
