• As I live in Shanghai this imagery of dissolving and melting buildings really resonates with me. This city is changing so fast. One rich guy with a mall makes room for the next.

• @mccnex : I think the code just contain the same tricks as every other 4k coder uses.. Try to make all data compress well by lining up similar data in a serie and try to make other data become a lot of 0. Then employ Blueberry's excellent execruncher2 to pack it. All sounds are generated by a simple additive synth with a few made-up effects and specialized drum generator. In a way, the synth is tightly linked to the song.
  
  Designwise I made a small tool in AMOS which draws black and white circles and then enable some simple editing of them afterwards. The interface is extremely simple so you never have to think while drawing. This makes the brain-to-screen distance very short :) I could have used a vector drawing package, but then it becomes such a chore to draw compared to this home made tool.

• micro : there was an almost complete atari port of chips don,t lie. But in the end it cooked away in the cabbage.
