- Software rendering in Mode X :) (kinda, via SDL)
Works fine on my Ubuntu 11.10 laptop. The reflection on the twister is pretty neat. Music is OK. Text could scroll a little faster.
Motivational, platform and source code thumb. - rulezadded on the 2012-02-16 11:21:51
- 4k Atari VCS WireCube VCS by Youth Uprising
- Actually, I just remembered someone on AtariAge has already done far more advanced stuff, namely rendering Elite-style ships.
That uses a 16k E7 cart though - you obviously can't fit such a large frame buffer in the vanilla 128 B. - isokadded on the 2012-02-09 13:31:38

- Hey, you stole my idea!
At least this is more wasteful on ROM than what I was cooking up. It's simply a 22 frame 32x32 animation. I have grander ideas :)
The music sounds pretty good considering the TIA. The envelope/echo effect on the melody channel is nice, compared to the harshness of the envelope-less Slocum driver. - rulezadded on the 2012-02-07 08:54:15
- 4k Atari VCS HARD by wamma [web]
- It's funny how the TV noise in this one looks better than TVNoise.
Anyway, thumbs up of course. - rulezadded on the 2012-02-02 09:13:31

- I never thumbed this up? Huh.

- This was a firstro? I'd have thumbed it up anyway. Music could have been a bit better.

- Works fine on my Ubuntu laptop. Platform thumb mostly.
Oh yeah, and fair warning: the archive is a tar bomb - rulezadded on the 2012-01-30 00:20:08

- I can admire this from a technical standpoint and the work that obviously went into it. However, I can't say I enjoyed watching it.
