- demo C64 DTV Hello DTV World by Noice [web]
- up for the platform, but rather boring after all so... piggy for me
Optimus :
- blitter using burst transfer
- DMA (to access the 2Mb of SDRAM)
- segment mapper to map the 2 Mb in the 4 C64 16Kb banks
- New screen modes and particularly a chunky 8 bits (but fixed palette)
- SID with registers to handle 8bits samples but no filters
- some kind of pipeline and burst modes
else that's really a C64 at 1Mhz !

- demo XBOX 360 Bloody Memories 2.01 by Tristar & Red Sector Inc. [web]
- ok it is currently in way to
ftp://ftp.scene.org/incoming/parties/2007/breakpoint2007/wild/
I guess somebody from scene.org will move it to the right place later
have fun (but remember, an Xbox360 is not enough to run it, you need a Creators Club account from M$, that's the current price of homebrew... ) - isokadded on the 2007-05-05 14:00:30

- XNA/XBOX360 DON'T USE RUN BINARIES DIRECTLY SO IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO RELEASE SOME ! BLAME MICROSOFT !
Damn could all those never-happy people read the comments before screaming ????
Havoc, that's fine to know that you considered us as "retards who claim to be "oldskool" :-(
So I guess I'm not welcome to Outline anymore... 8(

- Real good production.... perfectly polished, funny, consistent, not technically extremely impressive but the feeling is more important.
When I watched at BP! I know they will be first ! (damn !)
Was cool to speak with Rej, EriQue and Chip (who promised something amazing for Assembly 07, beers helped !, I won't tell more ;-) )
Good job guys ! Show us what the PSP is able ! - rulezadded on the 2007-04-11 16:38:01

- At least one coder of the demo should say something...
I quite agree with all the comments here, good or bad... The demo could have been a lot better but we really wanted to release it for BP, so the final touch to polish it, remove some nasty bugs, make a better sync (even if the XNA sound API is really rubbish.... no good sound control) wasn't possible.
For the people who claims that the 360 can do better ? Yes ! But we use what Microsoft provides and currently it is limited to the embedded .Net compact framework + shaders (quite buggy for the moment, but released this year, look for XNA), so it is far from developping a native 360 demo. By the way, our goal was to code mostly oldskool efect with some nice effects, not to to a Farbrausch demo...
For the people asking for binaries ? A real issue to as IT IS NOT POSSIBLE, to run the demo on the xbox you have to provide the sources... and currently we don't want to... we're really oldskool ;-) We'll see later.
And I hope you liked the little game embedded.... This for sure will be provided later as a standalone version with the source and so on to be able to play it :D 8 levels ready for you !
And we wanted it to be the first real demo on the 360 (not a portage of old demos).. For sure the next 360 demos will be better but ours too :D
So just consider it as : a new beast is there ! Let's code demos on it !
