- demo Windows Legomania by Doomsday
- Thumbs up for the concept (I've heard it's not the first lego-demo, but it's the first one I've seen) and the x-wing building sequence, and the Matrix scene. All very nicely done imho.
And the music rocked! the part in the graveyard was beautiful. - rulezadded on the 2003-08-21 17:13:17

- demo Windows ix by Moppi Productions
- didn't like it. A very arty prod, some interesting cartoon-like effects, but it just didn't catch my interest.

- wild Animation/Video Desert Dream Remix by Nuance [web]
- It's actually shorter than the original, but it's less interesting. I was hoping they would simply have updated the effects and music, but they redid the tune, and after the 4 (!) minute near-perfect adaptation of the first part, they went way off in terms of effects and music.
The DivX of the Amiga version is better. Sorry. - sucksadded on the 2003-08-20 04:53:24

- My position on demos that don't work on my machine very well (such as this one, everything is too white, and on a white background, and it goes 30fps one moment and 2 the next) is that I give them pigfaces until I can see the demo as it was intended.
Unless, of course, the demo is cool enough to warrant a rulez as is. (such as Glon 243 which also had a white background)
It's far better to leave it possible to thumb later than to make a regrettable choice before seeing it as intended.

- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Hardwired by Crionics & The Silents [web]
- I like it! I have the DivX and it rules.
I notice everyone caught Panther by David Whittaker, but nobody noticed the Tubular Bells cover, and probably some other covers in there...
I like the way the music flows from melody to melody.
And the effects are cool too, especially the opening sequence (looks like the game Homeworld copied them) - rulezadded on the 2003-08-19 03:43:59

- demo Windows Trial 1985 by Armada
- On my computer it shows up with the background objects increasing in size faster than the foreground, as if perspective were backwards. I suppose this is intentional, except that there are objects poking out of other objects, floating in the 'air', and appearing in front of foreground objects. If that were fixed, I'd thumb it up no prob...
Nice music. - isokadded on the 2003-08-18 13:58:35

- Great effect, great music too, and it's a good length. The quality of little productions is increasing dramatically.
