- 64k Amiga PPC/RTG Planet Potion by Potion
- Don't overestimate a PermediaII.
It's a REALLY slow card. Slower than a Voodoo 1.
And a 233 MHz PPC is not all that much when you have to do T&L and music synthesis, and all that in 64k too.
I don't think a 266 MHz PC would be able to drive the synth of fr-08 alone :) (I know it ran like crap on my PII 400 with a G450 :)
So any polycount at all would be welcome :)
I say this intro remains technically stunning until someone proves otherwise with a better intro.

- 64k Amiga PPC/RTG Planet Potion by Potion
- Better quality movie of this demo:

And one with alternative soundtrack:

Recorded by Zer0-X from a projector screen, much better than the earlier CRT recording (also by Zer0-X, despite other rumours I read :).
Enjoy :) - isokadded on the 2002-04-18 19:34:41
- demo Amiga AGA Little Nell by The Black Lotus [web]
- bhead, look closer. They aren't flat white cubes. They're cubes with radiosity :)

- 64k Amiga PPC/RTG Planet Potion by Potion
- Why port it to PC?
It will lose all its magic then (it's impressive mainly because it's on Amiga. On a PC, the 3d would not be impressive etc).
It might not even fit in 64k then either.
I think it should be left as-is.
Although a better DivX recording is welcome ofcourse :) - isokadded on the 2002-04-11 15:21:52

- demo Amiga AGA Little Nell by The Black Lotus [web]
- What can I say about this prod...
Good music, good effects, good code.
Worthy successor to Perfect Circle.
Thumbs up and respect - rulezadded on the 2002-04-03 01:32:41
- demo Windows toys by Gods [web]
- Yes, it looks like those old shaky software demos without subpixel/subtexel correction.
Never seen that with hardware, except in Incoming Future.
I guess they are doing their own T&L, and their accuracy is not sufficient for this resolution.
But other than that it's a very original demo, and enjoyable to watch.
Thumbs up here :) - rulezadded on the 2002-03-29 12:59:17
