- Course the funny thing to do now would be another prod in the same style as this one.

- Yes, modules for demos I think I'm "done" there, though there are a couple unreleased for other prods.

- Yeah sorry, but dismissing a group that had Sector9, Ziphoid, Bug, Mantronix, Codex, Sim etc. in, come on.

- sim: Again I think people have forgotten there are levels of this stuff though. 1990 had Mental Hangover and Chromium, do I love either one any less?

- Yeah with the demo climate these days requiring everything to be a blockbuster it gets a bit tiring to be planning demos for months rather than saying "Let's do something" and then a week later something is done. I'm certainly not advocating "oh let's just release any old crap", but it's possible to maintain a level of quality without having (or wanting) to be blasting people's socks off everytime. As a personal example Orb have a c64 demo lined up that I'm in two minds about releasing because "No Pets Allowed" was full of new stuff and this isn't.
Rez is very modest about his own work (and I agree he can certainly do more complex stuff) but if you look at his release rate in the last few months that's not bad going for a single coder in 2011? Code complexity be damned, there aren't many guys doing what he's done this year anymore: consistent, regular, releases, party or no party.
In the early '90s there were blockbuster demos and single screen intros and everything in between. And often. Now for the most part we only have the big stuff, so screw that. You got something you like on your drive release it, now now now. If it's a pretty starfield or 10-minutes of Dream Theatre-drenched grey vectors they're both valid in 2011.
