• demo Windows Kilo Volt by Science [web]
• i'm very happy to see a new science demo. you guys were a firm part of my german demoscene socialisation. and i can understand you, jar, that you are pissed off at the results - it definitely deserved a higher ranking. but then again, to be honest, while it was technically impressive and a smooth package, it lacked a certain extra. not sure how to express it - but probably it was not very memorable, when people thought back at the democompo in order to vote. in any case, please don't get discouraged and stay with us! <3

• demo Windows Red Heaven by Hoodlum [web]
• i think this is much better than the previous unix/hoodlum demos. still, it's kind of random, and, worst of all, the lyrics don't fit the mood and message of the demo AT ALL. i don't see any problem with a sexually explicit sample in a demo, but if it has absolutely nothing to do with the rest, why use it? the only "excuse" is that unix didn't get what the sample is saying - to be honest, i couldn't work it out either during the compo.

• demo SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive The Spiral by Resistance [web]
• not a very round package aesthetically, but very impressive technically. gligli, very sorry that the voting worked out the way it did, it definitely deserved a top3 placing.

• demo Commodore 64 Connect Me by Abyss Connection [web]
• oerg, there are different tastes, ok? i'd choose this one over "the spiral" anytime (not that the latter is a bad demo, though).
