• So glad you like our production. A few details about it:
  
  
  
  • The idea for the cracktro was born on paper. The result is pretty close to the sketch (see below).
    
  • The animation of the grid floor (aka Sausboden) is made with 20 "linked" copper lists and corresponding copper jumps. It therefore does not require CPU time.
    
  • H0ffman's Cecconoid streams inspired me to program a particle system. I did this for vector lines instead of dots.
    
  • To get ahead faster I decided to program the main parts of the cracktro in Swift on my MacBook first (see below). I ported the 68000 assembler code of the 3D rotation 1:1, so then everything looks identical on the Amiga.
    
  • While the first frame of the logos is displayed as a freeze frame, the particle system calculates the explosion in the idle loop. For this purpose a buffer of 150 kB is available. The line clipping is realized with oversized bitplanes and additional Cohen-Sutherland algorithm.
    
  • Lord's bombastic song "Vectrax" was already to be heard in the longplay version on the musicdisk Chipo Django 2 from April (hi Bifat).
    
  • Crunched size: 26500 bytes. Practically everything is (pre)calculated in the cracktro (hello Photon).
    
  • With the cracktro we started as remote entry at the OCS cracktro compo at the Posadas Amiga Party 2023. And we have won. We are very happy about that. Many thanks to the friendly orga and the audience. You have a great Amiga community in Spain.
    
  • Fairlight appears twice in the greetings. We only noticed this when the cracktro was uploaded in the party management system. Galahad noticed it too. But he overlooked the fact that Scoopex is, of course, included in the greetings. But actually it is ok to greet Fairlight twice. ;-)
