• Yeah, I can remember that one. On my copy somebody had removed
  the execution of the intro from the start-up, so I stumbled more or less
  accidentally upon it when I wondered about and checked out that
  additional file on disc. Mnemotron (I am a bit envious of his handle :) )
  and Starbuck are legends to me.

  back then. So different and inspiring and it looked and sounded great!

  Why do people release an ordinary sine scroll nowadays? I don't have
  anything against oldschool effects, I love them, but please be more
  creative! What about i) a sine scroll that is rotating around the z-axis or
  ii) a sine scroll with perspective that is slightly rotated (30° - 45°)
  around the y-axis? Conclusion: The group name's acronym expresses
  pretty well what I am feeling when I watch this. Sorry, must be my "I-

• Could any of you top ace coders out there give me repetitional lessons
  and explain how Mr. Pet managed to realize the goblin rotozoomer in
  that width (128px?) and resolution (texel = 2px?)? I am too exhausted
  to think about it any longer!

  Mic is not Raw Style. Both do have the same first and last name in real
  live which seems to cause some confusion. Mic is from Bielefeld
  whereas Raw Style is from Hamburg.

• This was my favorite discmag back then. I really liked and learned a lot
  from Mic's enclosed "199 bobs" source code. He was an excellent coder
  and had a profound knowledge - though he never released any big
  demo as far as I know, but maybe I am wrong?!

• I did not know kwe nor his work but I had to think of him and his last
  words in this intro a couple of times yesterday. I tried to imagine what
  he thought and felt while he was writing this. It is so sad. RIP.

• Impressive! One ace effect is chasing another. I like the P.T.Z80 screen:
  A big Z80 flying towards you - which is always good - and electrons
  flashing along circuit paths which is a really nice idea I have not seen
  before.
  I am so proud I once owned a CPC6128. It will be hard for the
  Superman Gang to beat this ;-)

• If I had not already - slightly frustrated and resigned - stopped my
  modest coding attempts before, this "intro" could have been the
  trigger to do so. Superb effects and only 40k. This is an assault. Nice
  work.
  By the by, a very interesting image in the roto-zoomer. Would like to
  know the background story / intention that led the choice of that motif.

• What is going on here? Hot stuff! In particular I like the desert scene
  with the UFO cube and the laser beam. It is so weird and surreal.
