- intro Amiga OCS/ECS Parcade
- I remember your name (Antiriad) from a couple of posts on EAB;
somehow it stuck to my head since it reminded me of the old Amstrad
CPC game with the same name. Cool that I came across this release
and that I now can relate something so well-made to your name. I
really enjoyed watching and also listening to this nice and harmonious
prod a lot!
Cheers :-) - rulezadded on the 2021-10-20 12:51:46
- demo Atari STe The Star Wars Demo by The Arctic Land
- Hej Uko. My apologies, and I am really sorry for my late reaction but I
totally missed your last post. Thanks a lot for the technical write-up,
and you even made a tutorial video! That is fantastic! I will definitely
take a look at that - and hopefully enjoy it :-).
Thank you very much again for your time and work. - isokadded on the 2021-09-23 13:34:41
- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Flower Power by Anarchy
- A solid and technically flawless production. The morphing of the
flower power planetoid into the 102 light sources sphere is nice, the
dragon ball is awesome, and I also like the appealing greetings part.
But it could have been even greater if they had used their
profound coding skills to present some new or modified effects; here
and there it feels like watching the (dizygotic) twin brother / sister of
Enigma.
If I remember correctly, Tron once phoned me after he had found
out - and could not believe - that there was another guy in one of the
next rural villages "nearby" (25min by car) who was coding in
assembler on the Amiga. Whereas I could not believe there was a
guy from Anarchy / Germany on the phone. We talked shop a bit and
that was it. We never met or heard of each other again. Be that as it
may...
I wish you all out there a happy day. Cheers. - rulezadded on the 2021-09-23 12:20:50

Quote:I think the limit with blitter for 16x16 pixel bobs in 2 bitplanes was around 240, maybe a little more... but this is with some small DDFSTART & DDFSTOP values to reduce bitplane DMA bandwidth, and copper writes to set the blitter off.

Quote:...at least 384 "sprites" are possible on Amiga
And where can I feast my eyes on those 240 and 384 bobs? And what are the specifications? Are these masked bobs? 240 is a lot but seems to be doable with a (slightly) reduced screen size. But 384? I don't know. Is that a purely theorectical number and what would be the restrictions? A screen as small as a stamp? - rulezadded on the 2021-08-27 16:04:31
- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Ham plot by Acon
- What is that for an interesting hanky-panky here? Sprites can be so
useful, can't they? Nice illusion that is accompanied by a fantastic, very
atmospheric music. - rulezadded on the 2021-08-27 12:37:52
- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Capricorn One by Cydonia
- Nice subjects with XX-genotype, a swift visit in Wolfenstein castle, and
a dizzy spin in the rotozoomer. I am feeling entertained. - rulezadded on the 2021-08-25 11:22:59
- demo Atari ST FirST Love by Overlanders [web]
- A tidbit! I cannot get enough of these f***ing fast and beautiful texture
mapped 3D objects. Awesome! This demo rocks. I am in love :-) - rulezadded on the 2021-08-24 15:16:53
- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Vector All Times by Tristan Lorach
- What? Quaternions and quadratic interpolations in 1991? Holy moly!
And the camere motion and the realtime calculation of natural body
movements is far ahead of the time, too. The somersault looks
awesome. Moreover, I like the feature that the birds sense each other
and mutually influence their behavior, so that they are acting like a
swarm. This is a unique and remarkable demo for its time! - rulezadded on the 2021-08-22 19:08:55

- dentro Atari XL/XE Just Fancy by Code3
- The zooming scroller is awesome, the shaded bobs are cute, too, the dot
tunnel does not convince me, but I appreciate the attempt to bring a
SW scroller to the screen. I really would like to see the announced STE
version. Has it ever been released?
Anyway, the coder knew the ropes and this production is indeed "just
fancy". I like it. - rulezadded on the 2021-08-17 14:58:03
