rv6502: You are correct. The serial bus was the biggest bottleneck. That and I didn't use lookup tables for sin/cos.

- Thanks! Effects using sin & cos gained the most. I did not have room to use lookup tables. I think some of the speed I gained was lost in arduino to fpu IO transfer time. I should have spent an extra $2 for an SRAM chip.
