- Quite a few effects/screens are very bad (design/code). And Topaz... please, I will draw and send you a font if you stop! XD
But I love the don't give a shit attitude, and maybe we could all use at least a dose of that once in a while to kick the shackles of hang-ups, expectations, and planning/designing. And there are some ideas and at least a few good effects in here, with great sync. At least that's my excuse for namevoting. ;) - rulezadded on the 2025-02-03 19:50:46

Graphics were generated by AI? Well, you gotta use all the tools at your disposal, I guess.
Reminds me of the old Hardwired demo at The Party 1991 - the shadows were actually precalculated on a Silicon Graphics computer Mikael Balle had access to at Nordisk Film.
The two have nothing at all to do with one another.
Since Corel is credited for gfx in the demo, I'm sure no AI was used -- one of the problems in the industry is that companies can't own the rights since hired artists don't own the IP and can't take credit. - isokadded on the 2025-02-03 19:50:10

- Quite good music, also a mixed collage of effects, animations, and photos/found pics where half of the scenes are not so good. I wish I could have seen the "rainbow fish" for longer and the short video cuts with reverse colors looked good.
"Fuck transitions!" :D is fine with me, however the white screen between photos/scenes didn't look good.
Enjoyed the idea of "travel over the surface of an asteroid" voxel mountains but the sky looked really bad. - isokadded on the 2025-02-03 18:12:56

- Hehe. I've thought about cartridge stuff on the Amiga, but it's just the spirit of the platform (well, most computers since the mid 80s) to have bootable media be the (then) modern cartridge replacement.
@rloaderro there was an early Amiga-based arcade system, on A500 there were lots of sidecar carts, mostly utility ones and 2(?) games. Demos, ...no. Bit difficult to swap ;) "Well just unscrew your case and fiddle out the OS ROM and put this chip in! And to spread, just use an EPROM programmer!"
IDK about this... :P - isokadded on the 2024-12-13 18:04:22

- Prerendered scanline effect can be made realtime, Anthrox font, reused tune (no downvote from Pink selfvoting, I see.)
Secondie coming back made in the style of a cracktro, and your Amiga is working again, let's go! :) - rulezadded on the 2024-10-30 21:35:14

- Seems toolchain for hands-off floppy environment only. The exe alone glitches bottom first screen, unclean exit (ints + smol memory leak). Probably improved by now, so just info.
Slick and some (1) say short, but to me the q: is the prod longer than the Unshrink Klang etc? ;)
A solid contrib w/ nice touches, gfx and transitions, the HAM palette+modulo scroll looked good also :) - rulezadded on the 2024-10-30 20:18:58

- I may have run this on an A500 with fast RAM before. On OCS with slowmem I notice the (too) strong flickering commented on by grip, and some stuttering on the chessboard part. Rest is fine. (This just as feedback to Hitchhikr.)

- Surprised by the votes. Funny how only when a platform is unable to replay animation at full framerate does the majority of Demosceners not gaga and wow. XD
And this with a sound card.
I would say embrace the limits, stay true, deliver for your platform, and ppl will get it, even if it looks and sounds according to platform specs. Some will appreciate, knowing the platform and there is ample evidence here. Worth it much more than a back-slaps from a friend. The work done is understood.
I don't believe in HW enhancements, all the platforms have that available (but very rarely allowed in competition) and PC, that's all it is, not a platform (and always allowed in competition, played on the beefiest pile of cards ofc, compomachine upgraded for $1000/yr). - isokadded on the 2024-07-12 23:45:50
