- Thumbs up for the fun demo, but even more so for the hardcore hardware hacking :) Overscan, horizontal resolution splits, but also splitting the screen address horizontally! Must be the first time I've heard of that. Kudos Dbug!

- To me it sounds like late 90's Mad Max, I dig it. I heard that a certain UK scener was sitting on a couple of unreleased MM ziks, so this might be one of them? :)

- Great ST adaption of Yoomp! The problem is, I suck just as much here as I did with the XL version :)

I'm curious about the details of this 4096 color mode. I don't think I've seen anything like that on ST before.
As mentioned above it flicker colours, but the amount of colours on screen is where the real work is. It's an extension of the Spectrum 512 kind of display (made in 1987). It changes the entire palette three times per scanline to achive 48 unique colours every line. Spec 512 did this in 320*199 while Zerkman is doing it in full overscan.
What is really new in this demo is using every scanline available (276) for the image. No syncline at the top (I assume e-clock sync?) and double lower border removal. Hats of to Zerkman for that :) - rulezadded on the 2025-05-27 18:33:20
