• 4-color CGA works very well to show some TV screen full of static snow. noize comes from a linear feedback shift register (LFSR), repeating after approx. 2^24 iterations. all implemented within 27 bytes.

• a pure tech demo of a size-optimized bytebeat player for MSDOS and COVOX LPTDAC, as also used in my other products. the music comes from a sequence table and changing those words results in entirely new music tunes. spending more words for this table will vary the tune, that it will not repeat as fast. so it's a generic player for background music. plans are to write a tutorial about it on sizecoding.org.

• This is a followup of my previous 256B intro TERRA256, but this time with some customized palette based upon a simple black-red-white color-gradient to achieve the look of some gouraud-shaded terrain, instead applying a XOR-texture.
  
  Also the time measurement and bytebeat synth was further size-optimized. Now the Intel 8253 PIT is reconfigured into byte-mode, which helps to save some further bytes. Maybe there is no better way to get some accurate tick counter if size matters. The example at http://www.sizecoding.org/wiki/Output#Advanced_PC_Speaker_and_COVOX_sound_via_interrupt uses interrupts, which is simple and accurate, but comes with a big size overhead.
